How to Fill a PDF Online
- Drop your PDF above, or click Choose PDF.
- Pick a tool: Text, Number, Email, Check, Date, Sign, Highlight, Draw, Box, Arrow, Whiteout or Image.
- Click on the page where content should go.
- Type with the built-in keyboard. Press Tab to jump to the next empty field.
- Click Download Filled PDF.

Fillable vs Non-Fillable
A fillable PDF has interactive AcroForm fields — FillPDF detects them automatically and turns them into live inputs you can type in.
A non-fillable PDF is flat. Use any of the annotation tools to place content anywhere on the page.
Select, Move & Edit — Tap Once vs. Tap Twice
The Select tool is how you move, resize, edit or delete anything you've placed on the page. It uses two gestures:
- Tap once — the item becomes selected (a blue dashed outline appears). While selected, drag it to move it, use the corner handle to resize shapes and images, or press Delete in the options bar.
- Tap twice (double-tap) — the text editor and keyboard reopen with that item's existing content, so you can edit it. This only applies to text, number and email boxes.
So the pattern is: tap once to grab it, tap twice to type in it. Nothing happens to text unless you intentionally tap it twice, which means you'll never accidentally overwrite a filled-in field while repositioning it.
Three Keyboards: Text, Number and Email

- Text — a full QWERTY keyboard for names, addresses, and any general-purpose text.
- Number — opens directly on a digits layout

-,/,:,.,,and+ready. Perfect for phone numbers, ZIP codes, IDs and amounts. - Email — a letter keyboard with
@and.permanently visible, so typing an email address is a single row of keys instead of constant layer switching.
Each keyboard has a Tab key that jumps to the next empty field on the page, so filling a multi-field form is just type → Tab → type → Tab.
